Betty Lloyd Scholarship Fund
In memory of long-time member Betty Lloyd, the club awards annually a scholarship to a student of the JMU Geology Department. In recent years, this fund has been used to offset the expenses of the student’s travel to a regional geology event to further their studies.
In return for the scholarship, the awardee is asked to present their paper or thesis to the club at one of the club’s monthly meetings.
