Annual SVGMS Show

The SVGMS Gem & Mineral show is a Shenandoah Valley tradition!

In 2017, it is scheduled for the 4th weekend of September (9/22-23-24/2017)

The show will be open Friday afternoon, Saturday & Sunday

A ‘treasure hunt’ for the wee folks - let the kids hunt for actual gem materials!

Panning for gold! Demonstrations will be presented by The Central Virginia Gold Prospectors

A flat lapping display & discussion area - There’s more than one way to polish a rock!

Micro-mineral display & discussion - see how even the tiniest speck of Mother Nature can contain stunning beauty!

A cabochon creating demonstration & discussion area - see how YOU can make pieces for lapidary jewelry!

Video presentations on rockhounding & lapidary topics

Door prizes contributed by our vendors & members drawn for hourly all three days
