January 2015 Program

Zooming In on Micro-Minerals by Michael Pabst

Hello, I am Michael Pabst, the newly elected President of the Shenandoah Valley Gem and Mineral Society. I did not earn this honor, but I hope to take some of the burden from our other officers - particularly Dean Hostetter, who continues to do much of the real work to keep our club running.

Most of you have already enjoyed (or suffered through) one of my presentations on micro-minerals. I am sorry. I can't help it. I am slightly obsessed with micro-minerals and photography. So I will present a program "Zooming-In on Micro-Minerals" at our next meeting.

I will bring my photography gear, and I will be happy to try to photograph any goodies you might like to bring in. (Some samples of Michael’s excellent photography can be viewed
here)

Meanwhile, please think about what sort of program you yourself might like to present, or might like to hear. You can send us a presentation idea via this
form.

There should be a lively discussion about what we would like to do in 2015, if only to avoid hearing too much from me.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, January 12. Best wishes for an interesting 2015.

Michael
